This Physics workbook is the fruit of my 8 year-experience tutoring mechanics. Newton’s 2nd law is the topic that students struggle the most with, for several reasons:
- It is taught just after kinematics which consists mostly of “plugging in” values into equations they are given. So when they then have to figure out the equations in the first place, they get confused and overwhelmed.
- There are many steps to finding the equations. To someone without a lot of experience with vectors, these steps are confusing because they often subtly differ from what was taught in the first, brief lesson dedicated to vector quantities.
- Each of these steps requires special skills
This workbook takes a step-by-step approach to help students easily master each step, before bringing everything together at the end.
